A couple scenes were mildly entertaining, but overall Not very good Westerns in general aren t my thing, but I d have overlooked the setting if the story had been fabulously awesome It wasn t The characters were flat and or cliche, the narration was repetitive if I had to read one time about Greg Gallagher s supposed theft of Julie s all important letter P , the heroine was a twit, the twist at the end was predictable One thing I did like was the secret room beneath the crypt that was pretty cool, even if unlikely considering the aesthetics logistics of mining shafts I also liked the goffick twin device though cliche in these types of novels, that undying devotion between identical siblings never gets old Hey, I m an only child I can t help but romanticize twins 2.5 stars.

Once again, I am not the target audience From the upcoming movie hype, I thought I would like this story Actually, I quit at page 170, forcing myself after page 1.This is written as I would imagine a romance of the time would beflowery overly complicated sentences and paragraphs much questioning what someone or something really meant, could it be this or that lots of questioning the narrators ability, strength, rightness.
