5 Stars It is a great page turning read I cannot wait to get my hands on the next Garnet book Garnet Lacey is just a fun character all around My absolute favorite and will read again and again I strongly recommend It has outstanding qualities The characters are wonderful and surprising and multi dimensional The writing is luring, engaging, and well crafted enough to keep me interested from cover to cover and beyond The plot is astonishing with twists and turns weaved into a well thought and planned story There s no pretense and romance was well balanced and done entirely correctly with properly distributed amounts of hints, behaviors and incredible, undeniable chemistry Predictability is at an all time low With the exception of series based books that follow the same path but are just as good Overall, Favorite, must read again, recommend

This was super fun it was nice not having having the love triangle in the mix to bring down the mood, for one And it was really cool getting to know Sebasti n s son Matvoch sp so much better I really like him as a character and hope we get to see a lot of him and his unique abilities It s exciting to see Garnet really embracing her magic again and dealing with her inner goddess LITERALLY, Lilith is piggybacking inside her And some nice developments in Garnet and Sebasti n s relationship too Great narration, of course, because it s Amanda Ronconi On to the next

A fun and fast read.Despite the fact that I liked the plot, I didn t really click with the characters. It might be that I came in on the third volume in the series and I m missing their backgrounds. That said, you can totally follow along with the story and understand everyone s situations without needing to read previous volumes I appreciated that.

This book is a mismash of witches, goddesses, vampires, ghouls, and a plot that doesn t have much substance Good for a mindless read but not much else.

Two stars feels a little harsh, because the writing isn t really that bad, but after three books I can honestly say I don t like Garnet Lacey The basic plot is okay, as is the writing, but I just don t like these characters, especially the main character I was turned off from the beginning with this one, when Garnet became upset with Sebastian for not biting her during sex Never mind she made it clear to him she doesn t want to be his primary blood donor Never mind she doesn t even attempt to talk to him about it She then spends a fair chunk of the book questioning his fidelity and wondering just what he does with his blood donors Because, again, Lord forbid she ever asked him about it so she wouldn t just automatically assume the worst about a man who s given her no real reason to doubt him I m going to channel my inner Jan Brady now and say Lilith Lilith Lilith Enough already with the Lilith For a powerful goddess, why does she only pop up when it s a convenient plot device Garnet was a witch before she invited Lilith in, so why doesn t she ever seem to do magic on her own And I don t care if I never hear another character mention touch their belly ever again.Okay I guess I disliked this character even than I thought.

I loved Book One of this series, Tall Dark and Dead but I was not a fan of Book Two, Dead Sexy Book Three was great I really liked the plot, the cast of characters M ty s was finally given some depth and Benjamin is an interesting wrinkle and I m glad I stayed with the series I especially enjoy books with gods and goddesses from different religions, regions and eras so this book was a hit with me.

Ehthere could be spoilers in this reviewdepends on what you call spoilers so if you don t want to know anything about the book, don t read this If you ve already read it and want to hear my opinion, read on I def liked this one a lot than the 1st 2 in the series I like the way the author writes, she puts plenty oh humor in with out it being annoying The love scenes are thankfully not in massive detail Just enough to make you purr when needed I really like the main character, Garnet Oh, here it comes though.BUT, I just have a hard time wrapping my head around all the magic that goes on and no one around is any the wiser Are the humans really that dumb Shouldn t there be at least a mention of alien happenings or something mystical by the skeptical observant humans out there I know it s witch magic cause I m reading it, but as far as the rest of the world goes it s still a hush, hush secret The authorities get explained away easily Too easily I get the difference between paranormal romance and urban fantasy now, FINALLY I loved the first two books in the series all the way up until the last 1 4 of the book The ending of both was just too way out there for me I hoped this one wouldn t go that same way, and in a way it didn t I enjoyed it till the very last few pages when the conclusion of the Coyote Lilith problem was solved It did give Garnet the answer she needed about marrying Sebastion and then growing old and him not I guess it was a pretty clever way for her to become immortal without turning vamp Garnet is a fun character and I will keep reading the series because the writing is good enough for me to forge through the massive amount of out there magic I ve seen some other reviews, not everyone likes this series, but are there any series out there that anyone can agree on Not a chance So, read it for yourself to see if you like it I do.
